The Lady Lobos have traditionally been the best team in the 3A East Region in volleyball and this year they are once again in that position. They have just one regular season loss, at Thatcher, and have won their other seven matches including last Tuesday’s home court match-up with Winslow.
Snowflake dominated the Bulldogs who came into the meeting with just one loss. The Lobos weren’t really tested, winning the match in three straight games; 25-17, 25-21, and 25-20.
This week Snowflake will host Show Low on Tuesday, then travel to Holbrook on Thursday. On Friday they head to Phoenix to play in the Spiketown Volleyball Tournament hosted by ALA Gilber North. The Lobos are slated to face Tuba City, Thatcher, ALA Ironwood and ALA Queen Creek in pool play action.
Following their third and final tournament, the Lobos will have seven regular season matches left on their schedule beginning with a trip to Payson on Wednesday, Oct. 5.
