The Lady Lobos have put together another solid volleyball season under the direction of Alan Ramage, posting an overall season record of 35-6-1. Their power point record is 15-0, and their East Region record stood at 12-0 heading into the final week of the regular season.
Last week the Lobos picked up two more wins, a 3-0 victory on Tuesday at Payson, followed by a 3-1 home court win over visiting Holbrook on Thursday.
In the Payson win Snowflake took the three games 25-18, 25-16 and 25-19. The team finished with 25 kills led by Erin Willis with eight. Chandler Johnson and Chloe Lyman each had five. After playing at Show Low on Tuesday, the Lobos will close out the regular season at home on Thursday, Oct. 26, with a match up against Blue Ridge. In their last meeting the Lady Yellowjackets took the Lobos to five games before losing.
Even if the Lobos go just 1-1 in those matches, they will still most likely enter the state tournament as the top overall seed. Two wins will certainly keep them in that position. The 3A state volleyball tournament is scheduled on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 3 and 4.
