Playing in Show Low on Wednesday night, Snowflake broke away from a close early game in the second half and wound up with a 56-37 victory. Hosting rival Holbrook, the following night the Lobos scored six straight points in the final minute to open a double-digit win over the Lady Roadrunners by a final of 50-39. In the third Holbrook’s post player Matehya Aberle put in six points and Jineane Cummings added four as the Roadrunners trimmed the lead to five heading to the fourth. Snowflake saw Holbrook pull to within three points late in the fourth but a couple of steals and throw ahead lay-ins secured Snowflake’s fifth win of the season and their first against Holbrook in several years. Kamri Ballard scored eight Lobo points in the final stanza helping her team get the win. Snowflake was led in scoring by Ballard with 12. Emily Davis added 11; Lesueur, 9; Trystan Hancock, 8; and Austin Stratton helped with 7. The Lobos made three treys, two by Stratton, and went 13 for 25 at the free throw line.
