The Lady Lobos’ return from the Christmas break has not been kind to them. Since resuming their season in January they have dropped eight of their 10 games played leaving their season mark at 8-12 overall and their regular season record stood at 2-9 heading into Tuesday’s home game with Blue Ridge.
Snowflake entered this week ranked 27th in the 3A power rankings and still could easily move into the top 24 overall which would qualify them for post season play. Last week the team fell at home to Holbrook on Tuesday by a final of 52-32. On Friday they picked up a 47-30 road win at Show Low. Saturday was a return to the loss column albeit in a close contest losing by just two at home to Thatcher 40-38.
With their next three games all played at home they have a great opportunity to elevate their overall ranking. After hosting a struggling Blue Ridge team on Tuesday, they will welcome in Winslow on Friday, then the following Tuesday they host Payson.
