By Greg Perkins Snowflake High School’s volleyball team capped a perfect regular season last week with 3-0 wins over Show Low on Oct. 23 and Winslow on Oct. 25. Both matches were played at home and with the two wins the Lady Lobos improved to 18-0 in regular season matches. They also attained the overall number one seed in the power point rankings and as the top seed they will await the winner of the 3A state play in games, which were held on Tuesday. As the top overall seed the Lobos will face the lowest seed remaining from the play in matches, which will be seeded as the No. 16 team. Last season Snowflake finished as the state runner up losing to Fountain Hills in the championship match. If things go as they have been the Lobos will have a chance to return to the title match this weekend. Both official rounds of the 3A state tournament will be played on Friday and Saturday with all matches played at Camelback High School in Phoenix. Snowflake’s match against the 16th seed is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. this Friday Nov. 2.
