The Lady Lobos have been playing well since the holiday break, and that performance continued last week with two east region wins, moving their current win streak to four games and advancing their regular season record to 5-4.
Playing in Payson on Tuesday last week, the Ladies piled up the points in a 63-26 win.
Two days later it was their defense that got the job done. Hosting Blue Ridge on Thursday, Snowflake built a 10-point lead through the first eight minutes, then pushed that margin to 33-9 at the half. Their defense held the Yellowjackets to just two points in each of the third and fourth quarters resulting in a 53-13 home court win.
Snowflake will travel to face a depleted, but still tough Holbrook team on Tuesday night, then will face Show Low at Blue Ridge High School on Thursday night. On Saturday, they host Monument Valley in a 2:30 afternoon game.
Snowflake is 9-8 overall this season.
