The Lady Lobos continue to impress and defeat teams with their stellar defense. Snowflake has held five of their seven opponents to under 35 and four of those opponents have scored less than 20 points in that span.
Snowflake is 6-1 overall on the season and thanks to Tuesday night’s 57-26 home court win against an overmatch Safford team, the Lobos head into this week’s action 2-0 in regular season games.
This week will be a busy one and will bring with it a more serious test for Coach Clare’s team. After playing in Florence on Tuesday against a Gopher team that is 4-0 in regular season games, Snowflake will play at Valley Sanders on Thursday night. Valley is always a dangerous team, especially on their home floor. Snowflake wraps up the week on Saturday afternoon when they host the 3A defending state champion Page in a 2:30 p.m. contest. That game will be their final tilt of the 2019 calendar year.
Snowflake will play in the 76 team Chandler Prep Tournament with four games played over three days. The Lobos will play on Jan. 2-4 in the Valley. They return to regular season action on Jan. 9 when they play at Alchesay.
