After winning their own Be Like Nat tournament last weekend, the Lady Lobos used that momentum to roll to two more regular season wins last week.
Hosting Page on Tuesday, the Lobos showed their strength, winning in straight sets: 25-8, 25-15 and 25-16.
The team finished with 36 total kills. Bryn Kupfer led that category with 9. Gracie Bogile added 8 and Alyssa Peterson finished with 6.
Taya Schneider led in aces, serving up 6 of them. Hailey Jones added 5. Peterson led with 11 digs. Lucy Lyman finished with 10 digs. Schneider and Jones did the setting duties. Schneider finished with 17 assists, followed closely by Jones with 16.
Snowflake hosted a much-improved Show Low team on Thursday. The Cougars defeated Snowflake in the early bracket rounds of the tournament last weekend. This time Snowflake returned to regular season dominance with a three-set win: 25-19, 25-17, and 25-23.
This week, the Lobos will host Safford on Tuesday, then welcome Holbrook on Wednesday. Over the weekend, they will compete in the Battle of the Realm Girls Tournament hosted by Arizona College Prep. They are slated to see Higley College Prep, Tolleson and Mountain Pointe, in Friday’s pool play action. Saturday’s schedule is Shadow Ridge, Canyon View and Estrella Foothills.
Snowflake’s regular season record stands at 5-2 entering this week.
