The Joseph City Lady Wildcats have positioned themselves nicely in the Division V softball power point rankings. Prior to Tuesday’s game at Rock Point, which they won handily, the Cats were ranked seventh overall with a 6-2 power point ranking. Dating back to March 24, they have won four of their past five contests. On the 24th, they defeated Mogollon 9-5. The following day brought their only set back in the recent stretch, a 22-10 home field loss to St. Johns.
Since then they have rolled off three straight wins. Last Tuesday they defeated Seligman on the road, 16-5. Last Thursday’s action resulted in a 20-1 home field win over Ash Fork. Tuesday’s 17-2 win at Rock Point should keep the Wildcats ranked inside the top 10 overall.
After playing in Ganado on Thursday, the Cats will host Williams today (April 8), then welcome in Red Mesa on Saturday. On Thursday, April 14, they travel to Tuba City to face Greyhills.
