By K. Conner Last Thursday the 10-1 Lady Longhorns of Payson came to town in what would be a pitcher’s duel and a game of defense with only one run coming across the plate. In the bottom of the second inning Brynlee Barris got on base with a walk. Barris then stole second base and reached third base on a passed ball. With one out, Brinleigh Arrendondo’s ground out allowed Barris to score, giving Winslow the 1-0 lead and ultimately the win. Winslow’s Mykenzie Flores was the winning pitcher with six hits, no runs, and eleven strikeouts. Winslow had three errors.
