The Lady Bulldogs pushed their season mark to 4-0 before heading to the highly competitive Gracie Haught tournament at the end of the week, with a 12-4 road win at Window Rock on Tuesday afternoon.

Winslow gained control of the contest early with three first inning runs followed by five more in the second. They pushed the margin to 10-0 halfway through the third frame.

Window Rock scored three runs in the bottom of the third to stave off the 10-run rule, but two more runs by the Dawgs in the sixth were more than enough to give Winslow their fourth consecutive win to start the season.

The Bulldogs scored their runs on 15 hits led by Chloe Wilcox who went 2 for 2 with a pair of home runs. She collected 4 RBI and scored twice. Jordyn Johnson also homered while going 2 for 3 with 3 RBI. Maycee Cunningham tripled as part of her 2 for 2 day at the plate with 2 RBI. Shea Hanson also tripled for her only hit in the game. Alyssa Barton was 1 for 3 with a double. Kaleb Clyde was 1 for 1 with a double. Morgan Thomas went 2 for 4; Brooke Williams, 2 for 3; and Harleigh Scott was 1 for 2.

Thomas, Barton, Cunningham, Johnson and Williams each had a stolen base.

In the circle Taylor Butterfield worked four innings facing 19 batters. She gave up four runs on four hits with a pair of strikeouts and walked one. Justine Butterfield worked two innings without allowing a hit. She had two strikeouts and walked one.

After playing several games in this weekend’s tournament the Bulldogs will return to regular season action on Tuesday when they travel to Mingus. Next Thursday they open east region play on the road at Snowflake.
