By K. Conner On Friday, Jan. 22, the Lady Bulldogs hosted the Lady Bears of Coolidge. The Lady Bulldogs had a height advantage over the Bears and each team plays a different style of basketball. While the Winslow team is more of ‘run and gun,’ Coolidge appears to be more of a setup for the shot. The Coolidge team was coming in with a win over the American Leadership Academy-Ironwood. In the first quarter, the Winslow lead was 19-2 and in the second quarter that would increase to a half time lead of 41-10. The third quarter would see the Lady Dawgs extending the lead even further at 58-15. A final score in the fourth quarter ended at 69-25. High scorer of the game Jaci Gonnie with 18 points, including four three-point shots; Kylie Wagner had seven steals; and Jayleigh Meyrs and Sierra Singer each had nine rebounds.
