The Winslow High School Lady Bulldogs defeated the Round Valley Lady Elks 10-0 at Eagar on Thursday, April 2, and the Lady Tigers 13-2 at Globe on Saturday, April 4, but lost to the Payson Lady Longhorns 3-0 in Winslow on Tuesday, April 7. The results left the Bulldogs with a 17-6 record for the season.
Statistics on the Round Valley and Globe games were not available, but both were lopsided victories for the Bulldogs.
In the loss to Payson, Longhorn Arissa Paulson worked all seven innings, giving up only one hit and one walk in pitching the shutout.
Richelyn Villanueva worked the full seven innings for Winslow. She gave up three runs, only two of which were earned, on five hits and a walk.
Taylor Holeva had Winslow’s only hit of the game.
