Holbrook’s softball team has just three weeks left in the season. Barring a huge turnaround in their final six remaining games, the Lady Roadrunners will not qualify for the post-season. They entered this week’s action ranked 34th in power points, a full 10 positions behind the 24th and final spot in the playoffs.
The Roadrunners suffered a 10-run loss to Show Low last Friday losing to the Lady Cougars 11-1. That loss was their ninth in regular season contests, offset by just two wins. Overall on the season Holbrook is 8-12.
They will host Mogollon on Thursday, April 16, and Globe the next day for a chance to get some momentum rolling into the final two weeks. The final four games on the Roadrunners’ schedule include Snowflake, Winslow, Alchesay and St. Johns.
