What had been a disappointing softball season for the Lady Roadrunners finished on a high note as the Holbrook squad won its final three games.
Last Tuesday the Birds won at Alchesay, 14-2. They backed that up with a doubleheader sweep at St. Johns on Wednesday. Holbrook took the first game 18-5, then closed the book on the season with a 20-0 shutout in the second game.
The Birds finished well out of the top 24 in the final rankings, leaving them out of post-season action. They wrapped up the 2015 campaign with an overall mark of 8-16.
