June Foard, 62, of Holbrook passed away on Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, at her home peacefully. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21, at Owens Livingston Mortuary in Holbrook. A gathering of friends and a luncheon will follow from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Holbrook Elks Lodge, 714 Elkdom Ave. She was born Jan. 29, 1953, in Springfield, Mo., to Vern and June Meier. She grew up in Great Falls, Mont., where she lived until she went to Montana State University in Bozeman in 1971. In 1974 she met the cowboy, Claude Foard, who captured her heart in Jackson Hole, Wyo., and they were married on Nov. 6, 1974. They relocated to Holbrook in November 1976, where they settled and made it their home. June worked with several different companies during her life in Holbrook, including Natural Resource Conservation District (NRCD), Holbrook Chamber of Commerce and Navajo County. She loved Holbrook and wanted to see it thrive. She spent many years volunteering for the community and did what she could to see the town flourish. In September 2015, June retired from Navajo County as a courtroom administrator. She spent the last six months doing what she loved most, spending all her time with her family. June was the most beautiful, kind hearted, down to earth woman. She lived her life gracefully, classy and with enough feistiness to make her contagious to all. She had outstanding loyalty, love of life, and believed in family life, second chances and had no regrets. She was the pillar and rock to her husband, daughter, son and grandkids, and will be missed each and every day. Survivors include her husband, Claude Foard; her children, Janella Barela (Daniel Barela) and J.C. Foard (Lecrecia Foard); two grandsons, Ty Foard and T.J. Foard; two granddaughters, Jadyn Foard and Yakira Foard; a great-grandson, Aiden Foard; and her mother, June Meier.
