My name is Jon Saline, and I am running for Superior Court Judge for Navajo County, Division III.
Fairness, respect and impartiality are the hallmarks of my judicial philosophy and practice. I understand that every person that comes before me has a point of view that should be fairly considered through the lens of our Constitution and the laws of the great State of Arizona. I value the independent role of the judicial branch and understand how its powers explicitly differ from those of the legislature and the executive branch. I am here to uphold the rule of law and can promise nothing more than an unwavering dedication to the constitutional principles our laws are based on and that each person who comes before me will be treated with dignity, fairness and respect.
I am a fifth generation Navajo County resident. I graduated from Snowflake High School, Brigham Young University and the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. During law school I served as an extern in the Arizona Court of Appeals, the Office of the Arizona Attorney General, and the Navajo County Superior Court. Upon graduation from law school, I was inducted into the National Order of Barristers.
I have been a practicing attorney in Navajo County since 2011. In 2020 I was appointed as a Pro Tempore Superior Court Judge and Commissioner for Navajo County. I have been recognized by the National Trial Lawyers as a “Top 40 under 40” attorney for criminal defense and am “Lead Counsel Rated” in criminal defense cases by Thompson Reuters. I have served as an executive board member for the Snowflake-Taylor Chamber of Commerce and NPC’s Friends and Family, a volunteer organization that provides scholarships to students at Northland Pioneer College. I am married and have four children.
