As of Wednesday morning, the only thing clear about the previous day’s primary election in Holbrook was that Mayor Jeff Hill was re-elected. Hill faced no opposition, and drew 303 votes.

In the race for three seats on the council, incumbent Phil Cobb led the pack with 255 votes, followed by incumbent Charlie Haussman with 224; Bobby Tyler, 218; incumbent Richard Peterson, 195; and Melissa Prather, 104. A total of 378 ballots were counted.

City Clerk Cher Reyes noted that 30 ballots were rejected and 28 early ballots remained to be verified, a process that was scheduled to be completed by 10 o’clock this morning (March 11). Until then, it could not be determined whether there would be a general election runoff for the council seats.
