On May 29, the Joseph City High School drama and musical theatre departments were awarded as a finalist in the Top 5 Best Musicals in the State of Arizona by Arizona State University Gammage! Criteria to become a top five finalist included the overall quality of the production, acting, singing, dancing and technical theatre elements. Adjudicators from ASU viewed the production of Tuck Everlasting performed by the students virtually due to COVID restraints and gave feedback and scores. Joseph City High School is one of the smallest schools to participate in the program as the vast majority of other schools are in the Phoenix area. It is a great achievement to be awarded a finalist.
