James R. Hicks
James R. Hicks, 55, of Holbrook, passed away on Oct. 7, 2021. He was born in Las Cruces, N.M., on Aug. 2, 1966.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20, at the First Baptist Church, located at 360 1st Ave. in Holbrook.
He worked for a contractor for the railroad and was a maintenance man at the El Rancho in Holbrook for the Gallegos family, Gilbert and Francis; son, Derrick; and daughters, Melicia and Marcy.
He loved fishing, and sports baseball, football, wrestling and to play golf every chance he could. He loved being with and helping his friends.
He was loved by his sister and brothers and many friends.
He is survived by his sisters, Shyrel Jennings and Valerie Ortiz; and brothers, Walter Hicks and Shawn Maestas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jo Ann and George Hicks; and a brother David Hicks.
