James “Jim” Hudgens of Holbrook passed away on April 7, 2020. A private service will be held. Jim was born on Aug. 5, 1925, in Kiowa, Okla. He was the only child of Benjamin F. Hudgens and Ruby Lee Dabbs. Jim was a World War II veteran and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a member of the American Legion for many years. Jim and Sue moved to Holbrook 47 years ago. He was a building contractor in Holbrook. Jim’s hobbies were hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Sue Hudgens; children, Pam, Jim Jr., Paula, Ray and Donna; nine grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Owens Livingston Mortuary of Holbrook handled the arrangements.
