Jake L. Salazar Jake L. Salazar was born March 31, 1932, to parents Pauline Gonzales and Thomas Baca in Holbrook. He passed away on March 23, 2022. Jake enjoyed socializing and visiting with everyone. Safeway was his favorite place to see and catch up with his friends. He was a longtime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. In past years he had been a member of the Lions Club, Knights of Columbus, and a troop leader for the local Boy Scout Webelos pack. He had retired many years ago from plumbing. He is survived by his wife, Molly Salazar; daughter, Lisa Salazar; sons, Juaquin (Patti) Salazar and Michael Salazar; adopted sister, Jenny Madrid; adopted brothers, Peter Candelaria and Danny Candelaria; granddaughters, Jasmine Robinson, Tiffani Newton, Halea Matty and Hannah Salazar; grandson, Juaquin Salazar III; and many awesome nieces, nephews and family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Pete Salas and John Gallegos; and sisters, Mary Duran and Flora Archibuque. Services are pending. Owens, Livingston Mortuary handled the arrangements.
