Indian Wells Elementary School will host a Family Star Party from 7 to 8:30 MST tonight (March 29). The first Star Party on March 2 was a great success, with many families in attendance. The American Indian Mobile Education Resource program, through a Northern Arizona University-NASA Space Grant, will again be setting up telescopes and helping all family members see night-sky objects such as Mars, the Orion Nebula and other distant objects beyond our solar system. There will be more telescopes set up, and additional astronomy experts from NAU to help all attendees in viewing the planets, star clusters, and galaxies far beyond our Milky Way galaxy. All Indian Wells families and community members are encouraged to attend this fun, educational, free event.
