The Holbrook Police Department was the recipient of a donation in the amount of $15,000 from the Tiisyaakin Residential Hall in Holbrook. The funds will be used to purchase a K-9 officer and related equipment for the Holbrook Police Department. HPD Officer Matthew Theobald was responsible for creating the partnership that led to this generous donation. The K-9 will be used to promote safety and awareness at the residential hall as well as enforcement throughout the City of Holbrook. A K-9 is a law enforcement tool in the fight against illegal drugs and narcotics. Chief Nathan Christensen thanked Renee White-Alcott, the Executive Director of the Tiisyaakin Residential Hall and the board members for this donation. The department also received a $9,500 donation from Circle K and $1,000 from Walmart.
