The Holbrook Police Department and Holbrook Volunteer Fire Department responded to one report of a fire during the period of Dec. 18-24.
At 3:50 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, an officer responded to a report of smoke coming from the laundry room at the Sahara Inn, located at 2402 Navajo Blvd. It was determined that a fire had started in an electrical box and HVFD was called to the scene and extinguished the fire. The power was shut off to the Sahara Inn until the damages could be repaired and the wiring replaced.
