The Holbrook Police Department received 161 reports during the period of Feb. 16 – March 1. During that time officers responded to 30 citizen assists, 15 suspicious activities, 13 information requests, 11 each of medical assists and welfare checks, eight animal problems, six agency assists and collisions, five each of intoxicated persons, traffic hazards, citizen disputes and shoplifting incidents, four each of trespassing incidents and warrants, three each of alarms, assaults, criminal damage incidents, disorderly conduct incidents, juvenile problems, incidents not classified and traffic incidents, two each of messages delivered and thefts, and one each of attempt to locate, burglary, fire, domestic violence, loitering, methamphetamine possession, sexual assault and theft of services. The following persons were cited, charged or arrested by Holbrook police officers recently. These persons are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt. Wednesday, Feb. 16: Willie Shane, 36, assault. Thursday, Feb. 17: Jasmine Benford, 32, warrant; Lester Yazzie, 35, theft of transportation; Edward Hamplin, 35, trespassing; and Matthew Reynolds, 40, criminal damage. Friday, Feb. 18: Kevin John, 33, disorderly conduct. Saturday, Feb. 19: Dennis Adam, 39, assault/domestic violence and a warrant; Bennie Yazzie, 38, two warrants; and Jose Romero, 42, shoplifting and trespassing. Sunday, Feb. 20: Leann Hayes, 36, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, a warrant and two counts of assault. Monday, Feb. 21: None listed. Tuesday, Feb. 22: Donna James, 37, shoplifting and a warrant. Wednesday, Feb. 23: A 17-year-old boy for underage drinking; and David Potter, 42, trespassing and criminal damage. Thursday, Feb. 24: None listed. Friday, Feb. 25: Julius Yazzie, 27, disorderly conduct/domestic violence. Saturday, Feb. 26: Valerian Burnside, 35, shoplifting; Timothy Emery, 35, a warrant; and Melanie Yellowhair, 37, driving in violation of an ignition interlock device. Sunday, Feb. 27: Balam Angel Angeles, 27, a warrant. Monday, Feb. 28: Tony Yellowhair, 36, shoplifting; and Carl Romanik, 46, driving on a fictitious plate, no current registration and no insurance.
