The body of a Holbrook man was found on Monday, March 2, in Flagstaff. A 7:58 a.m. on March 2, officers of the Flagstaff Police Department were advised of a subject who appeared to be sleeping against the wall at a building at 2800 S. Woodlands Blvd. Upon arrival, the subject was located face down and covered with snow, and was cold to the touch. The subject was declared dead by medics at the scene. The FPD identified the subject as 35-year-old Kenneth O. Yazzie of Holbrook. According to the FPD, it does not appear that there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, although it does appear that weather conditions might have contributed to it. Yazzie was wearing a sweatshirt, leather coat, jeans and cowboy boots when the officers arrived. This investigation is continuing, and the cause of death will be determined by the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office.
