Among the animals ready for adoption at the Holbrook Animal Shelter are (left to right) Porky and Sheldon. Porky is a cute little dude in need of a new owner. He’s great on a leash and has a smile that goes on for days. He is such a sweet little chunk with an adorable little voice. Sheldon is a young male Pit mix. He is currently in foster care in the Valley, but Holbrook Animal Control is still in charge of his adoption. He was rescued by our Animal Control Officer from a neglectful situation, tied to a tree in the freezing temperatures with no food, injured and afraid. He’s been rehabilitated by our officer and is much healthier now. He needs a home with loving people to show him that not all people are bad. He’s got a unique voice and is a small size. He is not aggressive at all toward people or other animals. The adoption fee is $70 for male dogs, which includes neuter, rabies vaccination and licensing for Holbrook residents. If you are interested in Porky or Sheldon this week, please come by the clinic at 105 Airport Road when the vet staff is there or send a Facebook message to Holbrook Animal Control.
