Glen Lang passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2016, in Prescott. A graveside service will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, at the Holbrook Cemetery. He was born June 29, 1936, in St George, Utah. Glen worked on a dairy farm for several years before beginning a 14-year tenure with the City of St. George, Utah, where he worked for the streets department and on the garbage truck. He inherited a few acres of land from his father and enjoyed farming on a small scale, raising a few horses, tending fruit trees and raising crops. He married Lois Sleight on Feb. 14, 1964. He was very kind and helpful to her after she suffered a stroke. She passed away Oct. 21, 2000. Glen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For many years after he became ill, he enjoyed ringing the bell to signal class times, and he was punctual and consistent in doing so. He enjoyed visiting with many of the old timers around town; his visits lasted only a few minutes, but they were appreciated. Many of those folks are gone now, but those remaining still ask after Glen. When he voluntarily turned in his driver’s license, he received a letter of recognition signed by the President of the United States. He moved to Holbrook Extended Care in 2007. Glen was friendly to everyone and always had a smile.
