Members of the Navajo County Community College District Governing Board welcomed Northland Pioneer College’s new Chief Operations Officer (COO) Jason Foutz to the college at their March 21 meeting.
Foutz, who was born and raised in Holbrook, returns to the area from St. Paul, Minn., where he resided for six years as he completed his Master’s in Public Administration.
Foutz has been gone from the area for a total of 23 years and is married with six children. When asked what brought him back to Holbrook, he said it was to return to the family and community that he greatly missed.
The position of COO was created at the college after the position of Vice President of Administrative Services that had been held by Blaine Hatch, who retired, could not be filled. College officials created the position of COO and the chief business officer’s position held by Maderia Ellison without any additional spending for their salaries.
