The Winslow Festival of Trees returned last week, transforming the chamber of commerce into a forest of brightly decorated evergreens donated by businesses, schools and community groups. Each organization designed and delivered its own tree, which was then auctioned off to raise money for the chamber’s programs and community events throughout the year. While the fundraiser helps support the chamber’s operations, the evening carried a familiar sense of togetherness as families and neighbors moved from tree to tree, pointing out favorites and placing bids.
