From 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Saturday, March 17, the Route 66 DUI Task Force in conjunction with The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) will be conducting a DUI enforcement detail in Northern Navajo County and Eastern Coconino County. The operation will take place in the Winslow and Holbrook area. The detail is run in conjunction with several high-profile events that are taking place over the St. Patrick’s Day weekend. Agencies taking part in the detail include the City of Winslow Police Department, the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Holbrook Police Department. Participating agencies will be patrolling streets and highways with the goal of deterring impaired driving.
