Dallon Laird, 14, of Holbrook was awarded his Eagle Scout rank on April 11. For his Eagle project, Dallon built and painted Pygmy owl nesting boxes like the one shown here for an Arizona Department of Game and Fish research study. This summer he will have the opportunity to help biologists place the nesting boxes in the Tucson area.
