The inaugural Tournament of Heroes co-ed charity softball tourney will be held on Saturday, May 14, at Hunt Park in Holbrook. Games will start at 8 a.m., weather permitting. Fourteen team spots are available on a first come, first served basis. The entry fee is $200 per team, and registration will be taken until 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 1 or until all team spots have been filled. To register, contact tournament director Ray Patterson at (602) 361-6464. The winning team will receive a ASA/USSA approved slow pitch bat valued at more than $200 and T-shirts. Second and third place teams will receive shirts. Concession stands will be open for the duration of the tournament. All proceeds from the tourney will be donated to the 100 Club of Arizona.
