Catherine Dale

Catherine Dale Catherine Dale died Feb. 25, 2021, at her home in Holbrook of natural causes. She was 78 years old. Catherine was born on April 24, 1942, in Houck to her parents, the late Harold and Dorothy (Yazzie) Gordon. The funeral service was held Monday, March 8, at Owens Livingston Mortuary in Holbrook. Her family is grateful for her “no nonsense and tough love” approach in raising them. They all grew up to be respectable people and raised forthright families of their own. She worked as a teacher’s aide as well as a cafeteria worker and custodian for the Holbrook School District. Catherine is survived by her children, Diana (Carlos) Jimenez of Holbrook, Nathaniel (Joann) Gordon of Qatar, Valentina Carmines of Holbrook and Veronica Dale of Holbrook; siblings, Basil Gordon of Houck, Roland (Leita) Gordon of Albuquerque, N.M., Fannie Murphy of Houck, Gilbert Gordon of Houck, Delbert (Jenny) Gordon of Ya-ta-hey, NM., Janet Gordon of Flagstaff and Mabel Gordon of Houck; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by three children, Lena Dale, Gabriel Dale and Victoria Dale; and three siblings, Mabel Gordon, Edward Gordon and Arlene Baldonado. Owens Livingston Mortuary of Holbrook handled the arrangements.
