By Sam Conner The Winslow Bulldogs learned Saturday that they did make the Arizona State 3A Conference Football Tournament and will play the Northwest Christian Crusaders this Friday, Nov. 2, at Phoenix. The Crusaders are the top seed in the playoffs while Winslow is the 16th seed. Winslow fell to 6-4 for the season and 2-3 in the region in their loss to Snowflake. Northwest Christian finished the regular season with a 0-1 record and a perfect regional record of 5-0. The Crusaders defeated Chino Valley 56-12 in their final regular season contest. Other teams from the 3A East Region in the playoffs are Snowflake, seeded second and meeting Fountain Hills, seeded 14th, Blue Ridge, seeded 11th and meeting sixth seeded Sabino and Show Low seeded 15th and meeting second seeded Yuma Catholic. The only team from the region with a first round home game is Snowflake. The only team in the playoffs that Winslow played in the regular season is the Page Sand Devils from the 3A North Region seeded fourth and hosting 13th seeded Pusch Ridge. Other first round games match Benjamin Franklin and Wickenburg with the winner of that game to meet the Winslow Northwest Christian game in the second round. Coolidge at Valley Christian with the winner to meet the Page Pusch Ridge game and Safford against Odyssey Institute with the winner to meet the Show Low Yuma Catholic winner.
