The Winslow Bulldogs split the last two games of the regular season and are the 10th seed in the 3A Conference State Tournament. In their next to the last game the Bulldogs lost to the Snowflake Lobos 5-4 in Snowflake on April 22. In their final game of the regular season the Bulldogs cruised by the Monument Valley Mustangs 16-0 in Winslow. They finished the season with a 16-11 record.

In their loss to Snowflake, the Lobos broke on top with two runs in the bottom of the first inning and one each in the second and third innings for a 4-0 advantage. The Bulldogs scored three in the top of the fifth and tied it in the top of the sixth. Snowflake scored in the bottom of the sixth and won the game when the Bulldogs could not score in the seventh and final inning.

Jacob Guerrero took the loss, giving up five runs, two of which were unearned, on five hits and four walks. Alex Vargas pitched a third of an inning and gave up one hit. Winslow had five hits. Jace Lyons was two for three; Kobe Barton, one for one; A. J. Huerta, one for three; and Brennan Sawyer was one for four.

In the 16-0 win over Monument Valley, the Bulldogs scored seven runs in the bottom of the first inning and two in the second and seven more in the fourth. Solomon Setalla pitched the first three innings and Dylan Vargas the last two. Neither allowed a hit or a walk and combined they struck out eight. Winslow did not have an error so Monument Valley did not have a baserunner.

The Bulldogs had 12 hits. Guerrero was two for two, with a triple; Sonny Wilbanks, Zane Corum and Barton were all one for one; Alex Vargas, Dylan Vargas and Stormy Kinlicheenie were one for two, with Dylan Vargas having a double; and Sawyer was two for four, with a home run.

The Bulldogs will play in Surprise this Friday, May 3, if they win against the Catalina Trojans from Tucson on April 30.
