Snowflake’s boys soccer team finished the regular season with a record of 8-3-1 in power point matches. Wednesday’s 8-1 win at Basis School in Flagstaff position the Lobos seventh in the final standings, which means they will match up with second seeded Chino Valley in the first round of the 2A state tournament with the match played at 6 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) at Chino Valley. If the Lobos can upset the higher seed they would move on to face either No. 6 Show Low or No. 3 Camp Verde on Friday. That semi-final match would be played at Williams Field in the Valley.

The Lady Lobos dropped their final two matches of the season last week. On Tuesday they battled tough but fell one goal short in a 1-2 loss at Show Low. Two days later they again came up one goal short, this time losing on the road at Blue Ridge by a final of 0-1. With those two crucial losses Snowflake finished the regular season with a 5-7 record. They finished the season just one spot out of the playoffs. Snowflake ended up ranked seventh, and only the top six teams in girls soccer advanced to the state playoffs.
