The Winslow Bulldogs and Snowflake Lobos both are in the top eight seeds of the boys’ state 3A Conference State Basketball Tournament and will not play until Saturday, Feb. 22, at home. Holbrook will host Show Low and Blue Ridge will host Tuba City in first round games today Wednesday, Feb. 19, for the other 3A east teams in the tournament.
Winslow is the sixth seed and will play the winner of the Window Rock vs. Northwest Christian game. Snowflake is the eighth seed and will play the winner of the Tanque Verde vs. San Tan Foothills game.
Other first round games have Fountain Hills meeting Coronado with the winner to play top seeded Page, Monument Valley vs. Pusch Ridge with the winner to meet fifth seeded American Leadership Academy from Queen Creek, River Valley vs. Chinle, with the winner to play Gilbert Christian and Chino Valley vs. Florence, with the winner to play Valley Christian.
The winner of the Holbrook vs. Show Low game will play sixth seeded Sabino and the winner of the Tuba City vs. Blue Ridge game will play fourth seed Paradise Honors.
