A number of residents from the Sky Hi Subdivision in Pinetop attended the meeting to express concerns and support of the traffic flow pattern the county was creating within the subdivision in the efforts to mitigate significant flooding issues.
At issue was whether the county had overstepped the process by not involving the residents of the area more fully. During the hearing, it was determined that the county had complied with the Arizona statutes and most residents were in support of the flood control plan that was being implemented.
The board unanimously accepted and approved the recommendation by the county engineers for flood mitigation in the Sky Hi Subdivision.
