Board Chairman Jason Whiting acknowledged the hard work the young athletes put in each day, as well as their dedication. He commended them for the unusual way they connect with the community, noting that they took the widows on a date for Valentine’s Day. Whiting told them that it is wonderful to win gold medals, but that to have the integrity that they have is worth much more. Members of the Snowflake High School boys’ track team were honored by the Snowflake Unified School District Governing Board May 12 for their first place finish in the state track and field meet. Coach Lynn Johnson said their strong work and dedication gave them an opportunity to win their second state title in a row. The squad includes (left to right) Head Coach Lynn Johnson, Mason Willis, Dylan Kay, Luke Craun, Dallin Chapman, Justin Webber, Jake Hall, Dylan Richards, Bryce Palmer, Coach Natalie Hunt, Coach Lindsay Lymon and Coach Paul Johnson.
