Among the animals ready for adoption at the Holbrook Animal Shelter are (left to right) Comet and his brother Cosmos, gorgeous young male Huskies who were surrendered for killing chickens, so they will do best in a neighborhood without poultry, and Cosmos needs a kennel with a roof so he can’t escape; Lola, a beautiful lab mix approximately 6 years old with that lab energy, but old enough to have mellowed out some; and Harley, a female hound puppy, super sweet with a playful demeanor. Comet and Cosmos have already been neutered. They can be adopted today for a fee of $70 each. Lola and Harley are each available for a $75 adoption fee, which includes rabies vaccination, spay and licensing for Holbrook residents.
