By Linda Kor Members of the Navajo County Planning and Zoning Commission will hear two requests regarding locations to grow and dispense medical marijuana during their next meeting. One is a zone change request by Hugo Dixon Oates for an offsite medical marijuana cultivation center that would be located in the Snowflake area. The other is a special use permit request by Overgaard Compassion Care to operate a medical marijuana dispensary in the Heber-Overgaard area. The meeting is scheduled at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18, in the Board of Supervisors Chambers at the Navajo County Governmental Center, 100 Code Talker Drive in Holbrook.
