Mayhem reigned at the Historic Navajo County Courthouse in Holbrook on Saturday as a bank was robbed, the sheriff was nearly shot in the back and prisoner Andy Cooper, also known as Chuck Olszewski of Joseph City, tried to shoot his way to freedom. Like any good Wild West story, though, at the end of the day the good guys prevailed and saved the citizens of Holbrook. The shoot ‘em-up show was put on by the Bucket of Blood Re-Enactors, who will be performing at the courthouse at 6 p.m. on the first Saturday of every month through August. The group will also be performing at Trapper Days in Taylor on May 28, and at Old West Days in Holbrook on July 8 and 9. The re-enactors welcome new members and sponsors.
