Snowflake's boys' soccer team battled to a 0-0 overtime tie with top-ranked St. John's on Tuesday last week. Their regular-season finale, scheduled at Lobo Stadium vs. Holbrook on Thursday, was canceled because of heavy lightning in the area. That match will not be made up because the state tournament begins on Tuesday of this week.

Snowflake finished the regular season with a 5-2-3 record as they head into the state tournament this week.

The Lobos enter the eight-team state bracket as the fourth overall seed and will host fifth-seeded Willcox at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

With a win, they would advance to face either the No. 1 seed, St. Johns or eighth-seeded Pima at 6 p.m. on Thursday evening. The state championship match will be played at Winslow High School beginning at 3:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Lobos finished the regular season with an 8-3 record. They are seeded third in the fall soccer play-in bracket and will host sixth-seeded Blue Ridge at 6 p.m. on Tuesday evening. With a win they would advance to the final four and play again on Thursday, with an opponent and site to be determined. Payson, seeded fourth, and fifth-seeded Show Low square off in the other play-in bracket.

The top two seeds, St. Johns and Northland Prep, await the winners of the play-in matches. The state championship match will be played at Winslow High School at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
