Another Friday night, another Wildcat win for Joseph City, now four straight after a dominant 60-18 road win at Mayer.
Joseph City has posted 60-point outings in their past two games and is averaging 52 points per game in their last four wins. Defensively, they are getting the job done as well, giving up just 8 points per game.
With three games left on their schedule, things will get more difficult, with two of those opponents ranked in the top five in 1A. Joseph City is ranked seventh. Two of the three teams will be tough outings, beginning with this week’s home game when they host Williams.
The Vikings are 5-1 and will be coming off their first loss of the year to top-ranked Hayden. Williams was ranked No. 2 before that loss.
Last season’s meeting with Williams didn’t go well for the Cats. The Vikings prevailed 68-6 in Williams. Joseph City has obviously improved from last year. Friday’s game will be a litmus test to see just how much improvement there has been.
The Wildcats are 5-1 overall and will bring in their four-game winning streak.
