Snowflake has rolled through their early schedule to an overall record of 13-2. One of the losses came in a tournament to Flowing Wells and the other was a regular-season loss to a talented Chinle Wildcat team.
This past week the Ladies picked up a regular season home court win over Tuba City on Tuesday night by a final of 48-69. The game was sluggish for the most part, but the Lobos’ strength and speed eventually wore the visiting Lady Warriors out.
At the end of last week, Snowflake added five wins to their season record at the 2024 EAC Holiday Tournament hosted by Eastern Arizona College. Snowflake had just two competitive games in the five.
They started with a 69-5 laugher over Hayden on Thursday afternoon. Thursday night was a 63-21 win over Thatcher.
Friday afternoon they took care of Dysart 57-23. Friday night they edged past a good Fort Thomas team 53-45. Their closest game of the tournament was their final one. A low-scoring game against another physical team, Pima. Snowflake won the game 32-27.
The Lobos will now be off for the Holidays and will resume play on Jan. 3, when they host Pusch Ridge. On the 7th, they will open east region play when they welcome in Alchesay. On the 9th, they travel to Safford. The following day they host Holbrook.
Snowflake is 4-1 in regular season play.
