Joseph City had a long road trip to El Capitan on Friday night and returned from that journey with a 0-62 loss. Despite the loss, head Coach Martin Roes still saw positives. “Even though the score may not show it, we made improvements on defense. We lost some players to injury and got some others back from injury. Hopefully, this week we will get a few more back from injury and they will be ready to go this Friday.”
Special teams continue to be a bright spot for the team as they recovered another onside kick. That may have been the highlight of the game for the young Wildcat team that is now 1-4 on the season.
This week they travel to Mayer to take on the winless Wildcats. Mayer has been soundly defeated in each of their losses thus far and should provide Joseph City with a chance to get their second win of the campaign.
