Holbrook’s boys’ soccer team saw their first action of the year with four matches at the Payson tournament held over the weekend.
Holbrook picked up a pair of wins on Thursday, with a 3-2 victory over Northland Prep followed by a 3-2 win over Round Valley. Playing with just one sub available the Birds ran out of gas on Saturday where they fell to Willcox 1-2, and to Show Low 0-3.
This team will have a little over a week off to get more players available for their Sept. 3, home match with Camp Verde.
