With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our child, Angelica Chantel Gonzales, who was taken from us too soon on July 26, 2024, at the tender age of 32 after a lifetime battle with depression and seizures. The day she was born on Nov. 26, 1991, she brought immeasurable joy to our lives. Her radiant smile stole our hearts. Her kind heart and curiosity in life gave her the drive to always want to be around family and friends. She could talk to anyone and make friends instantly; always making people laugh and giving compliments to make their day. Being surrounded by others was her happy place.
Angelica was raised in Flagstaff, and graduated from Coconino High School in 2010.
She loved to play sports growing up. She played soccer, baseball, softball, was on the high school dance team and also performed in ballet, hip hop and taekwondo classes outside of
school. She enjoyed concerts and sitting by the pool or lake and soaking up the sun with friends.
She attended Paul Mitchell Hair School. Her passion was doing hair, makeup and nails, and making people look and feel as beautiful as she saw them.
She loved to spend time with her grandma Dorothy who was her sunlight and her rock in life, giving her facials and back rubs. She called her every day to talk about her day and to tell her she loved her. She was always the one to reach out to everyone. She wasn’t a text communicator; she loved hearing the voice of who she was talking to. She had big bubbly swirly handwriting. It was as big and loving as she was. She always left a note every time she saw you to say she loved you. We will always miss her loving heartfelt notes, her infectious laugh and humor. Her playful side that made any situation interesting and her sincere love for family.
Angelica loved everyone, especially her son, her grandparents and all of her siblings.
Angelica was preceded in death by her grandpa, Leo R. Gonzales.
She is survived by her son, Julian Andres Garcia; her grandparents, Dorothy Gonzales, Teresa Chavez and Anthony Chavez; her mother, Terri Gonzales Richmond; stepfather, Erik Richmond; and in spirit father, Chris Charley, her father Isaac Jaramillo; and stepmother, Sandra Jaramillo; her siblings, Jonavan Gonzales, Aliyah Charley, Isaac Jaramillo Jr., Paul Elliott and Victoria Jaramillo; her niece, Dior Sophia Gonzales, and many uncles and cousins.
